|Datebook: Inaugural London Design Biennale Brings Visions of Utopia from Over 35 Nations|

The first ever London Design Biennale will be held at the Somerset House, London, from September 7 – 27. More than 35 countries will be participating at the inaugural Biennale in which newly commissioned works in contemporary design, design-led innovation, creativity and research will be showcased from across the globe.
The Biennale will feature some of the world’s renowned designers, innovators, and cultural bodies who will gather in London for an exhibition exploring the role of design in shaping our collective future.
The theme for Biennale 2016 is ‘Utopia’ and each country will develop a presentation that responds to the theme. Issues such as sustainability, migration, pollution, water and social equality will be explored at the Biennale.
Countries participating in Biennale are Albania, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Chile, China, Croatia, Cuba, France, Germany, Greece, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Mexico, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tunisia, Turkey, UAE, UK and the USA.
